Complete Specifications of Stone Epoxy Resin

Why use epoxy resin?

Increase Strength
Epoxy penetrates the stone pores, reinforcing its structure and significantly improving compressive and flexural strength. This is particularly important for limestone and travertine.

Prevent Cracks
By filling micro-cracks and forming a protective layer, epoxy prevents new cracks from forming and stops existing cracks from spreading. Result: a stable, unified stone.

Enhance Shine and Beauty
After application, the stone surface becomes glossy, clear, and visually stunning, transforming the appearance of the space.

Extend Stone Lifespan
Epoxy creates a wear-resistant and impermeable protective layer, increasing the stone’s lifespan by 2–3 times and making it resistant to moisture and chemicals.

Product Features

  • High Adhesion: Special stone formulation allows epoxy to fully bond with the stone texture, forming a unified layer.

  • Optimal Curing Time: Not too fast to limit proper application, nor too slow to delay the project—perfect professional balance.

  • UV-Resistant: Made with European UV-resistant base materials, the product remains color-stable even under sunlight.

  • Suitable for a Wide Range of Stones:

    • Limestone

    • Travertine

    • Marble

    • Granite

    • Book-matched slabs

    • Light or dark stones

Correct Usage (Step-by-Step) & Consumption

Step 1: Surface Preparation

  • Stone must be clean, dry, and dust-free.

  • Remove grease and traces of previous sealers or coatings.

Step 2: Mix Resin and Hardener

  • Recommended ratio: 2:1 (resin to hardener)

  • Stir 2–3 minutes until uniform.

Step 3: Apply Resin

  • Use a trowel, roller, or brush evenly on the stone.

  • Allow epoxy to penetrate all pores.

Step 4: Second Layer (if needed)

  • For highly porous stones, apply the second layer 30–60 minutes later.

Step 5: Drying Time

  • Semi-dry: 3–5 hours

  • Fully dry: 12–24 hours

  • Polishing possible after 24 hours

Consumption:

  • 200–400 grams per square meter (depending on stone type and porosity)

FAQ

  • Can epoxy be used on all stones?
Yes, it works best on most building stones.

  • Does it turn yellow over time?
No, it is UV-resistant and stable under sunlight.

  • Is the stone polishable afterward?
Yes, it polishes better and more uniformly.

  • Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, provided the stone is fully dry before exposure to rain.

  • Coverage rate?
On average 200–400 grams per square meter, depending on stone type.
